My astrology today said

that my heart is afraid

to speak out loud.

I suppose it’s true.

Is it because i’m a Virgo,

wallflower that I am,

“sweet,” i’ve been told

to my great chagrin,

or fear that should my heart

speak too loudly,

you will disappear?

I could not bear that

so silence faint heart,

now and forevermore!

Do not speak,

for to have you near

is far better than my achy heart

to speak aloud.
