color of rage

the scream that

no one else hears,

concealed behind

beguiling soft eyes,

and yeses

is the color of rage

half the days

half the days

i think of you

twice the other half,

i think of

how

i don’t want

to think of you,

swear you off instead

secret garden

let us dance

in the secret garden

barefoot and free

scattering light like tiny fireflies

across the shadowy sky

and

breathing magic

into the silky air
