I make art as ritual 🌑🕯️
I gather fragments, symbols, and images without knowing where they’re leading, trusting intuition to guide my hands.
The collage becomes a vessel for whatever energy is moving through me, and sometimes, for what has been waiting to be seen 🖤
The music excerpt in the bottom collage is a fragment of a Rachmaninoff piano score I used in collage. You can see my teacher’s blue pencil marks and note!

i’m just discovering Rachmaninoff! these are lovely collages and i love that you use your hands. it’s an art that mystifies me as to how they do it digitally! Mike

I love Rachmaninoff! And thank you! I’ve wanted to learn to make digital art, but don’t quite have the tools. I hear a lot of people use an iPad and Procreate or Adobe Photoshop. I just don’t want to spend the money, and there’s something about cutting and gluing! I need to explore different glue like mediums. I use HodgePodge now but there are others that are better. One day!

oh gosh, cutting and pasting is so much more tactile and emotional…and, while i don’t want to say less pricey lol….there is a teenie advantage to that path instead of being high tech ;D but i’ll tell you, the learning curve on the tech front is pretty steep. i am trying to learn as we speak and i’ve yet to reach that A-Ha! moment.
